Half way through January? Already? So just what have we been up to in the first few weeks of 2012?
Well...
* Shawn has stayed on the "green" at school for 8 days in a row! You ask what this means? His teacher, Mrs. M, has a reward system of Green Light, Yellow Light, Red Light. Just as the traffic signal meaning... You are good to go on the green. Yellow is a warning. Red means you need to stop and think about your behaviors (and correct them.) Since the beginning of the year we have had a wide variety of R's, Y's, & G's. Some days not as good as others. Recently (I think a lot of this has to do with him having his own curriculum tailored for him!) he has been on the green for days in a row... count 'em... EIGHT! With his reading level at around 5th grade, math levels very advanced, gifted... well, keeping him challenged & occupied certainly is key here. We are SO proud!
* Landon has totally surprised me. Out of the three boys our little red fury has become the most cuddly of them all! I never expect our "angry" child to be so snugly wugly. Imagine that!
* Liam had his 1 year well child check-up. 28lbs 11ozs (our big boy is back on the charts baby!) At the 97th percentile! He is cruising along furniture... and we just know it won't be long before he's taking those first steps. He had a few shots this visit... but after the initial shock he handled it like a champ.
* Our house has become home of... Pokemon! Shawn & Landon are OBSESSED. Pokemon here. Pokemon there. Pokemon every stinkin' where!
* My sister, Bailey, and myself have started out on a new venture. One of which I am going to blog about SOON. I'm super excited about this... and can't wait to share it with you! Stay tuned!
* We took Shawn & Landon to see Disney on Ice: Treasure Trove. The looks on their faces was worth it ALL!
