They'reeee heeeeerrrre! GiGi & Poppy that is! Saturday came with a bam... fresh out of the car and Poppy and Daddy went to work on getting the ground prepared for the boy's big birthday surprise! GiGi and I spend the day with the boys keeping them occupied while the guys were hard at it. Shawn and Landon were thrilled to see their Southern Grandparents arrive just in time for Memorial Day and their birthdays!
Today Peeps and Pap Marks joined in the building fun getting a great deal of the play set built in one very hot afternoon. GiGi and I pitched in here and there in between swimming with the boys. Nanny did her share in keeping the boys entertained while GiGi and I worked with the men.
We're having a wonderful visit so far and can't wait for the fun we have planned this week :)

I have to admit, this is my favorite picture to date of Shawn with his Poppy. Just the look of pride on Jim's face... and Shawn so happy to be up there hanging out on the top of his play set with his grandfather. This one's a keeper!

Its been nice to get outside and dig in the dirt with my family. It's not often it happens that all our schedules align. I know our boys will love the playset that so many people came together to get for them. Thank you everyone!

ReplyDeleteThis has been a wonderful experience watching the boys playing in the pool, and on their new playset...I have had the best time with those special boys you two have raised, never ever feel that they are misbehaving, to any grandparent everything they do is funny and cute...that is the joy of being a grandparent
