Yesterday Lindsey and I (along with her mom, Grandma Cindy) took all the kiddos up to the Art Festival. I had been to this festival once, quite a few years back, and completely forgot that it was even held this time of year. (Thanks for the invite, Linds!)
We all had a really nice time browsing through the craft booths, eating/drinking yummy fair food, and walking through the live animal section. The weather held out beautifully (especially with today's chilly air and stormy weather!) Afterward we all piled in an over-sized booth at Red Robin for a much needed dinner break. Landon, Shawn, and Owen all sat next to each other in booster seats, and let me just say... minus Shawn dipping Owen's chicken in BBQ sauce, they all behaved rather well. (sorry about that again!)
Thanks for a great time guys. Can't wait for our next outing!

Auntie Lindsey was nice enough to share this bright red ice pop with the boys.
Shawn was still napping in the stroller when we stumbled upon the horse riding section. Landon pointed, and acted as if he wanted on. Well, like his Daddy, he'd rather have both feet on the ground than on a live (and very large) animal. Horse riding was a no-go this time for little guy.
Shawn, on the other hand, woke right up, hopped right on, and away he went... for his ride, and Landon's.

Our besties... and Grandma Cindy (who Landon seems to have taken a huge liking to the past few times he's seen her.)

Couldn't believe it when i saw...Shawn riding a horse!! He did so well and really enjoyed it. I'm glad my boys get to spend time out doing cool things like the art festival. Ashley's always doing art crafts with the boys.
ReplyDeleteLandon is just not quite sure what to make of Linny, he is so funny. I am so sure that Great Grandma Silver is smiling from heaven watching her great grandson ride a horse. I know it sure made smile with pride, he absolutely has no fear, and that is an excellence sign of a very secure and happy little boy. Thank you Ashley and Jon for your wonderful parenting.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are amazing. We miss the boys and you guys so much. Shawn looks great up on top of that horse. What a wonderful day you all seem to have. The boys are getting bigger. Give them hugs and kisses from Uncle Cody and Aunt Lynda.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, awesome job Shawn! This kids a natural!! That's great. and hopefully someday landon will love it too!
